New Issue Monday: Say It Ain't Snow Cold Outside!

But it is. Cooooooold! A brand new Issue is up today on the Paper Issues blog and you have so many options to create or link up a new or existing project to win a great prize! I'll share all of the details below but, first, here is my layout:

Last Wednesday, my husband and I had arranged for babysitting so that he and I could attend G's school conference and then go out for a coffee date. As luck would have it, both G and Amalia woke up sick that morning. I ended up going to the conference alone and we all went to the pediatrician together right after. We tried our best to still make that coffee date happen...using the Starbucks drive thru. Best laid plans!

I used the Paper Issues January Cut Files in my design (the interlocking hearts and the title), some of the Project Life Desktop collection (chipboard stickers and 6x6 pad) and Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte stamps and dies.

I can't wait to see what YOU do with our new Issue! Here are all the details:

for the love of snowflakes...

Good morning! We've had quite the run of both frigid cold temps and rounds of illness here lately so, have been cozied up at home trying to stay warm and get healthy. Luckily, a little creative time is a good way to accomplish both! Today I am sharing a layout for Toni From Designs featuring the Let It Snow set of flair. I love these photos of Amalia's first time playing in the snow and they paired so well with Fancy Pants Oh Deer collection, Elle's Studio Hello 2015 and the snowflake flair.

Seriously, how cute is this set??

And a couple of close ups:

You can find this flair and so many other great sets in Toni's Etsy Shop! Use coupon code "JANUARY" to get 20% off your order (no minimum purchase required.) Good through Thursday, 1/22/15.

amalia at 11 months :: sunday swag

Good morning! Today I have a post up on the Paper Issues blog highlighting projects using the PI Swag Bags. Not having much in the way of crafty shops around here, I love getting an envelope packed full of new cards and embellishments each month to use along with my existing supplies. Here is a photo of this month's bag. Swoon...

Today, I'm sharing a project I made using the January Swag bag to document Amalia's 11th month. ELEVEN. We are in birthday planning mode. My last baby, my sweet, tiny girl is on the verge of toddlerhood and I wanted to capture all that is her right now.

Paper Issues Swag Bags are available one at a time, as demand allows, or as a subscription. You can use code JENBOOM to take 20% off your entire order.

I hope you'll stop by the PI blog to see how others have used the Swag Bag goodies. Have a fantastic day!

run the day :: the rubber cafe guest dt...

I'm thrilled to be this month's Guest Designer over at The Rubber Cafe using the beautiful January Creative Cafe Kit of the Month! Today I am sharing a combination greeting card and gift card holder. As soon as I saw the to-go coffee cup image I knew it would be the first used. The Fancy Pants True Friend collection included in the kit is one of my all time favorites with its warmth and whimsy. A perfect pairing for this month's stamp designs! Here is my card:

To punctuate the "run the day" quote, I stamped it on a page torn out of my planner from last year, showing the times on the calendar. To add more to the coffee theme, I knew I wanted to create coffee rings. My tool? The lid to the Fancy Pants sequin container included in the kit. It was the perfect size! I simply ran a brush with some brown water color along the edge, stamped it twice on my yellow patterned paper and splattered a bit more by tapping the brush lightly against my finger.

I'd love if you'd pop by and say "Hi" over at The Rubber Cafe blog. There, I'm sharing all of the details of how this card/gift was created.

Go out and run the day!
